His bored expression turned into one of surprise and disappointment. He did not look at Engel as they exchanged small talk while looking for a place to sit. What was more surprising was the fact that Atari invited the man to sit and eat with him. The young male offered one of his breads and started eating another as they continued the small talk. Nothing about the missing time or their relationship was brought up. 'Our relationship...' The thought crossed his mind as he glanced over at the man. He finished his current bread and looked at Engel. Taking a deep breath to relax, he asked, "What do you want to do about us? I know I said some pretty hurtful things yesterday..." He waited patiently, staring at Engel eye-to-eye.

The gigai looked thoughtful at the question wanting to be careful how it answered. With a short silence he said, "well its definitely complicated... perhaps we give it time, and could go out and get a drink and catch up this Friday?" As he finished his offer he heard his watching going off looking down he stood up quickly and before leaving said hastily, "I have to get back to class its about to start, I can't let them think its okay to be tardy!" He ran off in the direction of his classroom. The real Engel seeing what was happening ran in the opposite direction phasing through a wall so he could make a sweep around and find out what the gigai had talked about.
Elizabeth sat confused not really sure what the point of all that was all about looking at her clock she saw the time and cursed. Running over she shook Atari's shoulder saying, "we have to get to class!" She took off confident he would be right behind her.
By the time Engel had gotten back to his classroom his class had started grumbling he observed waiting to interrogate his Gigai.

He had just been asked out... 'o-on a d-d-d-d-ate.' Thinking of the situation, he blushed deeply with his gaze focused on Engel's back. During his shock, Elizabeth hurried over to rush the both of the towards their next class. One after the other, Atari's companions left him at the table, still speechless. As she went farther and farther away from him, Atari finally snapped out of it and began chase. Certainly, he was still thinking about Engel's request, but he also had to get to class before he it was too late. While he sped to catch up to his companion, he thought about the man again. "It's not really a date. It's not like I accepted his proposal either. But Friday, huh?" he muttered under his breath, reaching the door just as the time struck the hour. The female professor motioned for him to find a spot, smiling at his effort to not be tardy.
Atari found Elizabeth near the back of the room, seeing as it was probably the last available seating available. He sat down beside her and nearly went back to his thoughts when the professor began talking. "I understand that some of you are participating in the Seraphim tournament. I won't penalize you for it. I believe since you're paying to be here, you're free to do as you wish. I'm not saying I'll be happy if you're always tardy or skipping class. I still expect you to at least get a passing grade in this class. Just remember, if you're late, don't disrupt the class by coming in during the middle of the lecture. Now, we'll start going over the syllabus really quickly. I won't keep you any longer than that since it's the first day." With that, the rest of the class went by quickly as she said and everyone left with a smile on their faces. Fortunately, even Atari seemed quite content with having such a professor. As he was about to leave with Elizabeth, he noticed the teacher giving him this odd look. He barely caught what she mouthed, but it caught his attention. Win for the people. It was something the rebels would say often. Atari could not help smiling at such a turn of events.
When the two of them were outside of the room, the dreaded question came. 'What did Engel say to me, huh?' he repeated the words in his head. "W-We were just chatting," he said, trying to avoid answering any further. Maybe a part of him wanted to keep the date a secret. The word date repeated in his head, and then he finally recalled his previous plans with Elizabeth. "I'll see you tomorrow, actually! I gotta go do something," said the boy before he rushed off. He had to find Engel and tell him that Friday might not be a good time. The first place he checked was the classroom, and luckily, the man was still there. He went in after knocking at the door, saying, "Excuse me," as he entered. He looked at Engel with the intention of declining his offer, but for some odd reason he said, "Yes. I'll go drink with you Friday night." What did he get himself into?

Engel had just been briefed by his Gigai shortly before Atari had come in. Hearing his acceptance of the offer for drinks made him happy. He gave a smile he saved only for Atari and responded happily, "great just send me an email where you would like to meet." Not wanting to push his luck he grabbed his things from his desk, and went to the door waiting for Atari to move out of the way so that he could lock it, "well in the meantime stay safe you have my class in the morning." He walked happily to his home happy he had no grading to do so far.
